Stellar Hanafuda Koi‑Koi (“the App”) is developed by the creator (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
We — the developer — do not operate any server, backend, or database for this App, and do not collect, store, transmit, or receive any personal data ourselves. Specifically:
- No name, email, phone number, or account information
- No device identifiers
- No location data
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising data
- No gameplay telemetry
We do not sell, rent, or share any user information because we do not collect any. On Android, one optional feature — syncing achievements to your own Google Play Games account — does involve Google as a separate party; see Section 3 for full details on exactly what that involves.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores a small amount of data locally on your device only, including:
- Game settings (sound, accessibility, difficulty mode)
- Match history (wins/losses/draws)
- Achievement progress
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party — with the one exception described in Section 3, which only applies on Android and only for achievement progress specifically.
You may clear this data at any time by using the in‑app “Reset Match History,” “Reset Settings,” or “Reset Progress” (achievements) options, or by uninstalling the App.
3. Google Play Games Services (Android Only)
On Android, the App offers optional achievement tracking through Google Play Games Services, a feature provided by Google. This is entirely optional and never required to play — every achievement is also tracked locally on your device (see Section 2) and works fully offline regardless of whether this feature is used.
If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the App may send Google the following, tied to your own Google Play Games account:
- Which in‑game achievements you have unlocked
- Your progress toward achievements that unlock over multiple matches
The App does not request, read, or store any other information from your Google account. Sign‑in is handled silently by Google Play Games itself — the App never asks for or sees your Google credentials. If you are not signed in, are offline, or decline to use Google Play Games, the App simply continues to work normally using local‑only tracking, with no loss of functionality beyond the achievement sync itself.
This data is handled by Google, not by us, and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google Play Games Services is not available on the App’s Windows version, which remains fully offline with no third‑party services of any kind.
4. No Internet Communication (Except as Described Above)
Outside of the optional Android achievement sync described in Section 3, the App does not:
- Connect to external servers
- Upload or download data
- Use cloud storage
The App does not require an internet connection to function. All gameplay occurs entirely offline on every platform, and on Android specifically, all gameplay and achievement tracking works fully offline even if Google Play Games Services is never used at all.
5. Children’s Privacy
Because the App collects no personal information itself, it is safe for users of all ages. However, the game is intended for general audiences and does not target children specifically. Players who use the optional Google Play Games Services feature on Android should be aware that this involves Google as a separate party, subject to Google’s own privacy practices and age requirements.
6. Third‑Party Services
The App does not use any third‑party analytics tools or advertising networks, on any platform. The only third‑party service the App integrates with at all is Google Play Games Services, which is Android‑only, optional, and limited to achievement syncing as described in Section 3.
7. Changes to This Policy
If the App is updated in the future to include features that require data collection, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. Any changes will be posted on the same page where this policy is hosted.
